Opening of the new tanker truck loading facility and laboratory
The new tanker truck loading facility and laboratory were officially opened yesterday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The modern building represents a significant milestone in terms of efficiency, quality assurance and employee comfort.
The new building combines loading, laboratory and employee areas in one central location. The ground floor features a closed hall with a covered tanker loading area, which has five (soon to be six) loading points enabling parallel filling. The new technology has significantly reduced the actual loading time for juice: with a capacity of 50,000 litres per hour, a 25,000-litre tanker can now be filled in around 30 minutes – a time saving of 15 to 20 minutes compared to the previous capacity. The vast majority of the semi-finished goods supplied by VOG Products leave the company in tankers. Around 13 employees work in tank management and control all processes. A separate area with a lounge and sanitary facilities is available for drivers delivering and collecting goods.
The first floor houses refrigerated areas with three different temperature zones, where reference samples are stored centrally. This level also includes offices, social and recreation rooms, and changing rooms for a total of 70 employees.
The second floor houses the new laboratory rooms. The approximately 16 laboratory employees have around 600 m² of workspace at their disposal. Around 60,000 analyses are carried out each year, of which around 36% are microbiological analyses. A small sample lift connects the ground floor directly to the laboratory, so that samples can be transported quickly and hygienically. The modern laboratory equipment improves workflows and strengthens quality assurance.
